Thinking about upgrading to a utility rack on my 2017 450HO

I'm thinking of ditching my front rack extender and switching to a Utility Rack like the utility model, will this boost my front carrying capacity? I like the added tie-down points, but extra weight capacity would be the real bonus

The utility rack should give you better tie-down options, but the front carrying capacity stays the same at 90 lbs. I swapped mine out a while back, and while it made securing gear easier, it didn't change the weight limit. If you're hauling heavier loads, reinforcing the mounting points might help.

Sounds like it's more about usability than capacity, I'll still probably go for it since better tie-downs help, but I'll look into reinforcing the mounts too

You'll appreciate the better tie-down points. They make strapping gear down much easier. Since a little time has passed, I'm just following up on this thread. Did you get the utility rack installed and did you find a good method for reinforcing the mounts?
