Hey everyone! I'm thinking about giving my 800 a little boost in the storage department and would really appreciate some honest recommendations. What have you all found to be the best options when it comes to storage boxes, racks, or bags? I'm hoping to find something that stands up to the wear and tear of the trails but also has plenty of room for all my gear. I'd love to hear about your favorite setups and any tips you might have for installation or keeping them durable. Looking forward to your advice

Kimpex or Kolpin, I run a Kimpex outback trunk on my 450 and its been good so far, I dont know how or if the difference in our models may vary the outcome but either way, I think they would definitely have something for your 800, you could check them out

How are you planning to use the storage, more for day trips with light gear or longer hauls where you need to pack heavier tools and supplies?

This sounds good! How's the seal holding up in wet conditions, and did you need any special mounts for your 450?

I suggest checking out the factory Polaris Lock & Ride stuff is a great starting point for a reason. It's designed specifically for your 800 so it fits perfectly and is super easy to take on and off. I think it's a solid choice for keeping gear dry and secure. It's not the cheapest, but you're paying for the convenience and a watertight seal. But if you're looking for something less expensive but still durable, I know someone who just bolted a Pelican case to his rear rack. I was actually impressed since they look practically indestructible! If you go this route, definitely use some good rubber washers and a little silicone around the bolt holes to keep it sealed up.

Both Kimpex and Kolpin are well regarded brands in the ATV community. to pick a hard box or a soft bag, you should know that a hard plastic box (like the Kimpex Outback) is the way to go for waterproof, lockable, and crush resistant storage. Soft bags are great for lighter, more flexible items, but they don't offer the same protection from the elements or from being crushed.
