MV7 Carb quad advice

I bought what I thought was a 2008 fuel-injected quad, but the choke knob gave it away as carbureted. It's actually a government/military-spec MV7 (model A07MH68MB) with forestry markings, likely sold as surplus. The headlights and taillight dont work even after replacing the handlebar switch, so i'm wondering where to start with that. I also want to know the best way to wire in a handlebar light since I cant find a plug and if my big clear fuel filter is fine compared to the tiny ones I've seen online. The only air filter I see is the canister, no prefilter, so i'm curious if that's normal. I'd like to find another MG mount for the back, and I'm wondering if converting a carb to EFI is possible or if I should just get a spare carb kit. It's pretty jumpy in sharp low-speed turns even in 2WD, is that norml? And if anyone has proof these were really air-dropped into the field by helicopter, I'd love to see it.

Carb to EFI is possible but a lot of work and I think its probably easier to keep a spare carb kit on hand. There are a few declassified photos floating around for air drop proof, but it's rare to find any actual documentation.

Are those photos or resources give clues about maintenance or tuning, or are they just visual references?
