I got my 2021 Sportsman 850 brand new so I've had it for a few years now and this is the first time I'm having a starter issue. I've used it in water and mud and never faltered. The only new thing I did was back in the winter, I used it to plow some snow. I'm not sure if that affected my ATV but I still got to use it twice since that time. I noticed starting up could take some effort but I wasn't alarmed at the time because it was still running smoothly but I haven't really used it as much as I usually would. Anyone has a good explanation if that could be the problem? Which ones should I inspect? I think battery volts and connections are good but I'm not sure if I'm missing something here.

If the battery is good, then the next thing you should look at is the starter relay/solenoid or the starter itself. You might be able to test this at home, but I think you might want to take it to a shop

Could be moisture or corrosion from the snow use finally catching up with you especially in the starter relay or solenoid. Even if the battery reads good voltage, I'd load test it and clean every connection (grounds too)
